The 2019 Analysis of Environmental Impact Assessment and decision-making supporting project was contracted to the IER by the Environmental Protection Administration to assist the EIA committee’s reviewing process in data collection and analysis, and to provide topic reports. The purposes of the project included the shortening of EIA review process and the simplification of administrative operation. The project team assisted completing the following works: 1) the appointment of specialists, 2) monthly progress reports in data collection and synthesis, 3) assisted to hold "the 13th Environmental Impact Assessment Review Committee's Opinion Exchange Meeting" on August 5, 2019, and "the Specialist Work Description Meeting" on Auguest 28, 2019. The project team assisted in 18 topics regarding the EIA consultation , 18 cases of legal consultation, and 179 cases of fuzzy text screening process.
